At Backwell Athletic Junior Football Club we take very seriously our responsibilities to each other, to the community and to wider society, of managing as effectively as we can the risks from COVID 19. We've appointed a Club COVID Officer to ensure we remain compliant with the FA guidance on the return of grassroots football following lockdown. Appointing a COVID Officer and undertaking a COVID risk assessment of our Club are mandatory elements of our compliance with FA regulations. The risk assessment should be a living document but the latest version is attached below; it contains an important Annex (Annex 2) setting out the FA's Code of Behaviour in managing COVID risk. Also attached below is the FA's formal guidance document for all parents/carers.
Required Parent/Carer consent to participate
It's also mandatory as part of our compliance with FA regulations, for all parents/carers to provide their consent to participation of their child in Club activities, before they resume training and/or playing. An online consent form has been created, which all parents/carers are required to sign. A link to the form has been - or will be - circulated to all parents/carers by age group coaching teams. A central record will be kept of all those who have provided their consent, which we need as evidence of our compliance. As you'll see from the consent form, consent indicates the key documents outlined above and linked below have been read and understood.
Any issues or concerns related to COVID 19, please contact the Club COVID Officer, John Gordon at email address johngordonBAJFC@gmail.com
